My husband and I, on the other hand, headed to Sheboygan for a quick, overnight getaway last week. I've lived in Wisconsin 26 years now, and Sheboygan was the last city of any size that I had never visited. I guess you could say Sheboygan was on the Wisconsin edition of my "bucket list," and we thoroughly enjoyed our short time there.
The shoreline of Lake Michigan is beautiful. It was a little too cold for a long walk along the lake, so instead we visited several independent book and resale shops downtown. It also doesn't hurt that there's an excellent, newer craft brewery there called 3 Sheeps Brewery. If you love microbrews and haven't tried their beer yet, I highly suggest you pick some up soon. The one thing we didn't do in Sheboygan (that the city is most famous for) is eat any brats!! I guess that gives us an excuse to visit again 😉
