I’m Busting Out My Blue Suede Shoes

My dog Truman is a herding breed, so he needs lots of exercise and “projects” to keep his mind and body stimulated.  I bought an agility course to set up in my backyard.  But until it gets warmer and the ground dries up, I’ve been looking for something fun we can do indoors together.  I recently discovered a dog sport called Freestyle.  It consists of the dog doing spins and twirls and figure eights around the person in a choreographed routine set to music.  It’s unbelievable what these dogs can do and how focused they can be.  So, I signed up for a class that starts this month.  I can’t wait.  To get an idea of what we’ll be learning here’s a link to a Doggie Freestyle Video.
