Fall Fun and Yard Work Don't Mix

There are no two ways about it.  Either I have to get a bigger lawnmower, or a smaller yard!  I used to actually like to mow my grass, but I gotta tell ya … I'm sick of it this year.  It seems like yard work is taking up a lot of my free time, and although I never really took issue with it before, this year I am.  Maybe we should get a condo in the city where someone else mows the lawn, trim the trees, shovel the snow, and do all the general maintenance involved with keeping up five acres. I say that now, but when next spring rolls around, I'll be chomping at the bit to get out in the yard to do it all over again.

The problem with this time of year is that there is just not enough weekends to do all the great stuff that Fall offers.  We like to hike through the sun kissed woods, wearing sweatshirts and shorts.  Sort of the yin and yang thing.  It's also a great time to hit the water – no bugs, sunburn or many other boats.  We also want to get in another couple weekend camping trips.  I never sleep as well as when it's about 40 something outside the camper at night.  That's when a campfire is really a welcome thing.  And let's not forget Badger game days!  Awesome fun every time. What the heck, maybe we should schedule a camp excursion next weekend. Oh wait a minute – can't.  I have to mow the lawn.
