New Madison Dining Ideas

We just spent a "staycation" when my daughter was in town from the West Coast. Saturday night dinners were feasts she prepared after hitting the Farmers' Market, but aside from that, finding new places to eat was our goal.

  • Let me suggest the cavatelli at Forequarter on Johnson Street. (This place needs more space–they were packed.)

  • Perch tacos at Alchemy on Atwood Avenue have some zing.

  • Excellent remodeling job just off the Square at Lucille, and the steel pan pizza was good.

  • The Tory Miller restaurants Sujeo and Graze are always special. I don’t know how he manages to find and maintain the best restaurant staffs in town.

My favorite new store (non-restaurant) discovery was Pieces Unimagined on Williamson Street. Store owner Kyle is new in town after running antique shops in Illinois.

We had a busy week.
