Kathryn’s Blog: White Flowers

Even though I think all flowers are beautiful, I like white best. I’ve been in the floral business for many years, and yes, colors are spectacular at times. But as an artist and designer, when I work with just white flowers, I am compelled to pay more attention to the shapes and lines. The different greens of leaf and stem take on more importance. Fragrance is more pronounced. The ideal bouquet is put together so it will last a month, each flower fading while the others slowly open.
The beauties you see here grow in the back yard of Naeset-Roe B&B in Stoughton. They are spectacular in arrangement. But just one is sweet too.
