They always say that one should try new things...even if at first they may sound a bit uncomfortable.  I have never been what you would call a good dancer. Oh sure I have decent rhythm...and I love music...but dancing? Never been a big fan.  Well my wife Terri wants us to learn how to Salsa dance.  You know the hip swaying saucy dance that is so big in the Latin community...and all the big dance clubs on the coasts.  I love my wife dearly. I'd do anything for her.  But I can't for the life of me figure out how my shaking my ample booty is going to do anything to enhance our relationship.  Although I can tell by the way she is pitching this Salsa thing...that not agreeing would do less.

Bitter sweet weekend, that's for sure.  We were at a friend's birthday bash Saturday when someone broke the news that Whitney Houston had been found dead in a hotel room bath tub.  She has had big trouble with her demons for a long time, but I think the news surprised most of us.  What a talent. I remember in her hey day in the 90's. It seemed she was on our station all the time.  Her voice was a true instrument.  Sad to hear of her passing.

I always try to get some shut eye on Sunday night after a long weekend of fun, and that was my intent as usual the night of the Grammys.  That's not the way it worked.  I couldn't go to bed during that show!  Fantastic.  I, like most of us I think, usually are underwhelmed by most award shows, but this was special.  I mean how many times do you get to hear the Beach Boys, Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney, Adele, Cold Play, Foo Fighters, and Glen Campbell, for crying out loud, all during one show.  This year's Grammys has to go down in history as one of the best ever.
