A couple weeks ago I was simply searching recipes online to find one to use up some celery while it was still fresh in our fridge, and I stumbled upon this thing of beauty. I used a lot more celery than what the recipe calls for, and it tastes heavenly. How can it not with bacon and heavy cream in it? It's a bonus that it's really easy to prepare and then you just let it do its thing in the slow cooker for a few hours. This might just be the perfect recipe to help you tolerate this winter a little better. Let's face it, a bowl of this just won't have the same appeal in August when the heat index is 101 degrees. Enjoy!
