Yuck!

It is so ugly, that now, when I get out of my car, to head inside, I try to avoid looking at my backyard. My kids' sled are still frozen to the ground. Numerous dog toys, balls and Frisbees are suffocating underneath the ice. There is even a lone boot stuck in a partly frozen bush. How it got there, by itself, I do not know. Basically, my backyard is a mixture of mud and slush, salt and sand, that have created quite the winter wonderland. Everything just looks like it needs to be cleaned. Sigh!
So, do you want to lay odds? Will I clean it all up by next week or not???

New Year's Resolution

Last year my New Year's resolution was to rescue a few animals, not bad, huh? :) My husband thinks I need a new resolution for this year, but they are such darlings. Please adopt, and remember if you want a breed they have a "breed match" program at the Dane County Humane Society, that's how we got Xena our golden. Check them out.
Xena was found roaming, while Groucho was lost near the Beltline...so glad Groucho and Xena found us.
