Birthplace: Madison General Hospital, which is now Meriter, in Madison.  It was a 70 degree early September day and the Packers lost to the 49ers...maybe that's why I love the 49ers.

Grocery shopping is:  Becoming much more of a chore now that I'm a mom.  I find myself being much more picky and only getting organic produce and low-sugar foods.  It takes a little longer to shop, but it's well worth it.

Favorite vacation spot:  It's got to be Maui.  You have to go for a minimum of two weeks because otherwise the time change just messes you all up.  The surfing, the sunsets, the fresh seafood...it defines paradise.

Dream day:  A full night's sleep, a run and then a day with my family.  I guess I'm a minimalist.

Scariest time:  When my water broke and it was a month before my due date.  I thought we'd be spending Christmas in the NICU but Everett was a healthy little boy!

Song that has moved you:  Jason Mraz "I Won't Give Up."

My unfullfilled dream is to:  Compete and finish Ironman Wisconsin!!

Thing I fear most:  I let the fear of failure get in the way of things sometimes.  It's like wearing a cast on your leg because you might break it.  I need to just let it go and let things happen...win or lose.

Thing I love the most:  Big surprise here...my son, Everett.  Before him it would've been a toss-up between sushi, Shiraz and...oh yeah, my husband. :)

Hobbies:  Running, party planning, sports - although more watching now than playing...oh my achin' bones.

My family:  Is my life.  I'm the middle child in the Hansen family...I've got an older brother, Bradley, and a younger sister, Karin.  Both have significant others and children I love SO much.  My parents are the cream of the crop and I'm thankful for them every single day.
Favorite thing about Madison:  There's always something going on, whether it's a festival or a farmer's market or anything in between.  Lots of these kinds of things don't cost you a dime and there's such a laid-back feel.  I love calling Madison "home."
