You know, one of these years I'm not going to start it with a bunch of weight to lose. Alas, it's not going to be this year!
I’m trying like heck to lose … well … some extra pounds I’ve accumulated again over the long holiday gorging season. It tasted great when I was eating all those goodies, but now I'm I'm looking down that familiar road of deprivation and restraint. Neither is my strong suit.
I always rely on making low fat meals to get off the extra pounds, but my wife Terri, who is also aiming at a similar goal, is committed to a low carb thing. That makes meal prep interesting to say the least. The upside, I have accumulated a ton of dual purpose recipes that cater to Terri's aim at cutting the carbs and my plan of cutting the fat. Most of them are pretty tasty to boot.
I know lots of us are in the same boat, so to all my fellow dieters, here's to a slimmer, healthier 2014!
