The last time I had a gluten free sandwich I threw the bread away and just ate the tuna salad. It tasted just as I imagined – like two pieces of cardboard. No, I bet the cardboard would have been better. I now have so many friends that are gluten free that I’ve been trying more things out. Low and behold, I’ve found one thing I’d love even if it wasn’t gluten free. Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods have been around for awhile, but the gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal has given me hope for humanity. It’s really, really good! Even better, the left overs stay good for days. I just reheat it in the microwave. I also add brown sugar and milk. It’s more like a dessert that way – and there is even iron in it. It’s made from whole grain brown rice, corn, sorghum and buckwheat. It makes for a great change from oatmeal. If you go to Bob’s website, he even does a demonstration of how to make it!
