I grew up in: Dover Township in Racine County. Spent my early days on a dairy farm. Our nearest neighbors were miles away, so I think that's where I developed my imagination. We had to make our own fun.
First radio job: WIZM La Crosse. I met the General Manager in a bar on 3rd Street. I said I wanted to be a DJ. He told me he needed a news guy. Done.
Magic 98 Morning Show debut: 1989. Wait, 1989? OMG that's right!
What motivated me to get into radio: Hunger.
Favorite vacation experience: Getting up close and personal with a 12' nurse shark while scuba diving with my wife Terri off the Jamaican coast. I never felt so vulnerable and alive...mon.
On weekends I like to spend: Lazy Saturday mornings drinking coffee with my best pal Terri.
If I could have anything I wanted I'd get: A six-burner Viking cook top and double oven. I love to cook, so for me, that would be nirvana.
My latest obsession: My dog Ziggy, and the "girls"...my 15 chickens.
My best Magic experience: There have literally been thousands. Every time I meet a cool Magic fan. I've met many over the years. You know who you are.
