Looking Back and Looking Forward
I just finished up the last bit of leftover squash soup with turkey sausage. I made it as an appetizer on Thanksgiving and it is so delicious, I have to share it, so click here. The first time I made it all in the pot like the recipe says, but since I think baked squash tastes best, I did that the second time around and it was even better. Either way, enjoy!
I hope Thanksgiving was an outstanding day for you. The time spent with my nieces and nephews was absolutely priceless. Evelyn was just six weeks old when my brother, his wife and son, Nate got here from Boston. She left 7 ½ weeks old and was so much bigger. I just can’t say enough about her. It’s appropriate that we were together on a day that recognizes everything we’re thankful for, because our growing family is the best. And to have them travel with two kids? I know that’s not easy, but it’s so appreciated.
They left Monday morning and I’m still sad. But we have the rest of our lives! Now: on to Christmas! I think we’ll get our tree this weekend, so stand by for stories of breaking ornaments, falling trees and crying children. Woo hoo!
