This is Sally and Donna, my good friends, at Donna’s birthday lunch. Whenever I ask Donna how old she is, she airily waves a hand and says “old enough to know life is too short to not have what you want out of it.” That is her way of saying, we will all order whatever we really want. At Nonno’s that means she will have salad with two servings of bread, Sally will the eggplant and I will have the Spaghetti Alla Bolognese (I am crazy about pecorino cheese!). The service is quick and friendly and the food perfect. For the three of us, who have to do some serious juggling to get all three schedules to synchronize, this is a godsend because they never mind if we sit with our coffee awhile to have a long visit. They never rush you out. We are planning to all go to the latest Promega Spring Art Show on March 19, 2019. Steve Ferron is a favorite of ours. He is known for his glass work but has some newer things to show off. The event is open to the public if anyone is interested. They have live local musicians, really interesting food and a lecture at 3:30. Often the artist’s themselves give the talks and are very interesting. See you there! (Parking is a little dicey because of construction so be sure to give yourself time to walk to the building.)
