The picture below is of is the back yard of the Naeset-Roe Bed & Breakfast I am a part-time caretaker for. Dear Ozzy, the big golden retriever who was the family pet, passed a few weeks ago and he would often just roll around on the grass and look adorable. When I stop being so sad that he is gone I will post his picture. This week I’ll be there making the guests welcome and, of course, breakfast! It’s a historic landmark at 126 East Washington Ave. in Stoughton. Walk-able to fine dining downtown as well as shows at the Stoughton Opera House and nummy treats at Fosdals Bakery. A brand new fine art gallery has opened up close to the railroad tracks too (Able Art Gallery, 524 East Main). I’ve been living in Stoughton since 2001 and it’s the longest I’ve ever lived anywhere. My place, Avalon Blvd. Studio, is just a block away from the B&B, also built in the later 1800’s. It is not a public gallery but clients can make an appointment to come buy my paintings. I love to bake and the guests this week will have my lingonberry scones, cherry sour cream pecan scones, and a rhubarb cobbler with rhubarb harvested from this very yard! Fun!
