Kathryn’s Blog: Rice Does The Trick

It often stick my hands in the sink to rinse something out or set it to soak, but on this process I manged to get water inside my watch face. Well I happen to really like my watch. It was not an expensive one, so to pay to have it opened and dried out would have cost me more then the watch. But a friend told me her cell phone dried out (after being rained on) by putting it in a bowl of rice. The drops moisture made a different pattern everyday, almost always obscuring the numbers. So, I pored rice in a bowl, added the watch, covered it, and over night, voila, it’s all dry! I am thrilled to have my watch back, but what the heck do I do with the rice?
