5 Ways to Win the Weekend
Weekends in Madison are made for fun, plain and simple. Grab coffee, wander the lakes, catch some live music, or see where the day takes you – no big plan required. Thereās always something happening and half the fun is stumbling into it, but we thought we’d share our top 5 things to do this weekend.
1 – Kick off your weekend Friday with the Half-Pint Spring Consignment Sale at the Alliant Energy Center Arena – it runs through Sunday. Itās the areaās largest kidsā resale event, packed with thousands of items for families, big savings, and free parking.
2 – Saturday starts with UW Family Gardening Day, a free hands-on experience across campus gardens and greenhouses where kids and families can meet UW scientists, explore nature, and take home plants and seeds while supplies last.
3 – Then head to Garver Feed Mill for the Midwest Vintage Flea, a curated indoor market featuring dozens of vintage vendors from across the country with fashion, accessories, and one-of-a-kind finds.
4- Saturday afternoon, itās the Kentucky Derby Party at The Edgewater – live music, lawn games, mint juleps, Derby attire encouraged, and lakeside celebration energy all afternoon.
5 – And Sunday, explore the Marquette-Atwood Neighborhood Art Walk from 11 to 5 – a unique self-guided outdoor art show where local artists display work right from their homes throughout the neighborhood.
