The 2018 Magic 98 Holiday Wish Fundraiser was on Friday, December 7. Thanks to your generosity and the partnership with our amazing sponsors like TDS Telecom, Verona Vision Care, La-Z-Boy, Schoepp Motors, and Rural Route One Popcorn. . . $26,386 was raised in just 12 hours!

Carpets For Classroom Making a Difference
Every year, teachers all over southern Wisconsin spend their own money to create a better classroom environment. We’d like to help some teachers spend a little less so again this year, Magic 98 and Carpets Plus of Wisconsin teamed up to provide Carpets for Classrooms!

Magic 98‘s annual tradition continued in 2018! Our winners got a treat bag that included… gourmet popcorn bars, chocolates, and treats from TnT’s Coffee and Cafe, snacks from Rural Route 1 Popcorn, a bottle of wine from Botham Vineyards, and three CBD infused bath bombs from Green RX and some also included Sweet Tooth, the classic Halloween CD from Mannheim Steamroller. The Magic Crew were in costumes thanks to Mallatt’s Costumes and Accessories!

Meredith is Magic 98’s Millionaire For A Day
Congratulations to Meredith Borchert from Stoughton who has been crowned Magic 98’s Millionaire for a Day!
She stopped by the Magic 98 studio this morning (10/19) with her husband, Josh, and two of their adorable girls, Addie and Josie. Pat and Lanette presented her with one day’s interest on a million dollars, they had breakfast, and got a tour of Mid-West Family Broadcasting, where they got to meet ‘Major Bucky’ from Bucky on Parade! What else does she get as Millionaire for a Day? Read on…
Meredith will pick her dream car to drive for the day from Zimbrick BMW, home of the ultimate driving machine, located at Rimrock Road and the Beltline. Then, she’s off on a shopping spree at William Thomas Custom Jewelers, your custom jeweler. While she’s doing all that, her home will become magically spotless with a professional cleaning!
But even after all that, her day will have just begun. Aneu Med Spa is offering Meredith millionaire services to help her glow and feel her best. She’ll get a private aerial tour of Madison from Morey Airplane Company, and work up an appetite getting pampered with a friend at Fringe Salon. By now, she’ll probably be hungry, so Meredith will satisfy her appetite at Bonefish Grill, with the freshest seafood in town, for appetizers, dinner, drinks, and dessert.
Meredith will be jet-setting from Chicago-Rockford International Airport to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for an all-inclusive three-night stay at the Riu Bambu Resort, thanks to Apple Vacations. She also got to enjoy an Evening With The Eagles at the new Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee with a pair of tickets to the show on October 18!

That’s a wrap on Magic 98‘s annual summertime tradition, and it went off without a hitch. Not one Concerts on the Square performance was rescheduled due to weather this year! Hats off to Maestro Andrew Sewell and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra on another fantastic year of performances, and thank you for letting Magic 98 be a part of it!

May Day 2018 with Magic 98
The Magic Crew kept up their annual tradition with May Day Deliveries on Tuesday, May 1! Winners received a bright, blooming geranium from Jung’s Garden Center, a family size tub from Rural Route 1 Popcorn, and a pair of water park and indoor theme park passes to Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Wisconsin Dells. Our grand-prize winner, Heather Kieper who works at Home Goods in Middleton, won a spring cleaning package from PODS of Wisconsin including over $400 in cleaning services!

St. Patrick’s Day Deliveries 2018
The Magic 98 Malarkey Crew’s annual tradition hit the road for St. Patrick’s Day! Winners received Irish sweet treats from TNT Coffee and Café and a four-pack of Guinness.
Magic 98 Women’s Wellness Retreat 2018
That’s a wrap on our Magic 98 Women’s Wellness Retreat! It kicked off Saturday, March 3, 2018 as our attendees checked into the gorgeous AC Hotel, downtown Madison, and received a special welcome gift from Wiscoboxes. Billy Blanks hosted and incredible Tae Bo workout at Pinnacle Health and Fitness, shared stories from his journey to success, and left our group inspired to do something for themselves each day. Madison Originals delivered dinner and breakfast to our retreaters’ rooms from Banzos, Parthenon Gyros, and Yola’s Cafe. Before check-out, our group wrapped up the weekend with a private yoga class at Pinnacle! Thank you to all of our attendees for making the first Magic 98 Women’s Wellness Retreat a weekend we’ll never forget! Special thanks to La-Z-Boy and William Thomas Custom Jewelry.
