Endeavor is the third installment in the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra’s Musical Landscapes in Color project — a bold showcase of living Black American composers whose works span nearly three decades of innovation. The program features Regina Harris Baiocchi’s Muse for Orchestra, the world premiere of Autumn Maria Reed’s Mental Health Suite, Eric Gould’s cinematic An American City, Omar Thomas’s impassioned Of Our New Day Begun, and culminates with Xavier Foley’s Soul Bass Concerto, with Foley himself as soloist. It promises to be more than just a concert — it’s presented as a live recording that aims to inspire, uplift, and expand the classical canon.
