Parade Canceled Due to Weather
Get ready to see the Capitol Square looking like a giant bowl of Lucky Charms! Join Magic 98 at Madison’s 26th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade which circles the downtown loop on Sunday, March 15.
Here’s the lowdown for a fun Sunday:
- The Schedule: The party officially starts at noon with the Irish flag raising inside the Capitol Rotunda (it’s worth a peek for the acoustics alone). The actual parade kicks off at 1:30 PM.
- The Route: It loops counter-clockwise around the Square, so you can pretty much set up anywhere with a good view.
- Pro Tip: If the March wind is biting, grab a window seat at a spot like Colectivo or The Rigby to watch the bagpipes and floats in comfort.
- Dress Code: If you aren't wearing at least one item of green, are you even doing Madison right?
It’s basically a massive, friendly neighborhood party where everyone is Irish for the afternoon. Look for A New Day with Lanette & Charlotte - plus Mark Van Allen - at the start of the parade with Russ Darrow Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - Discover the Darrow Difference. We hope to see you there!
