5 Ways to Win the Weekend
Weekends in Madison are made for fun, plain and simple. Grab coffee, wander the lakes, catch some live music, or see where the day takes you - no big plan required. There’s always something happening and half the fun is stumbling into it, but we thought we'd share our top 5 things to do this weekend.
5 - Sensory-Friendly Night: The Madison Children’s Museum welcomes families with Autism Spectrum Disorder and sensory challenges to experience the museum during sensory-friendly hours on Friday, free of charge.
4 - Kids in the Rotunda: Magic Morgan and Liliana blend the art of illusion, mime and comedy for an outing the whole family can enjoy with 3 free shows on Saturday.
3 - Kids Ice Fishing Day: The first 300 kids 14 and under get a free fishing rod, reel, bait ... plus hotdog and beverage. The event is hosted by Yahara Fishing Club on Saturday at the Brittingham Park shelter. cancelled
2 - UW Women’s Hockey: The top ranked Badgers take on Bemidji State Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning at LaBahn Arena. Put on your red and white and come ready to cheer them to victory!
1 - Madison Restaurant Week: It’s a great time to check out Madison’s best locally owned restaurants this Sunday through Friday. Starting at $30, participating restaurants offer a prix-fixe menu with three courses. Some restaurants will offer a lunch menu for $20.
