Since starting a low-carb lifestyle, mixed nuts have become a favorite snack… and up until I found this recipe, I never would have thought of making my own flavored nuts! Since I love ranch (the classic Midwestern condiment), I was excited to try this and have made it a few times. Now, I feel like I’ve perfected it enough to share with you! Here’s my recipe for Ranch Roasted Snack Nuts… You’ll need: 5 cups mixed nuts (I use 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup cashews, 1 cup pecans, 1 cup walnuts, and 1 cup almonds — but you can use whatever kind and quantity you like!) 1/4 cup oil of your choice (avocado oil was recommended in the original recipe I found, and I use sesame oil — because I had it in the cupboard) 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon parsley 1 teaspoon chives 1 teaspoon dill 1 teaspoon salt (or less depending on how salty your nuts are! I over-salted the first time I made this) Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Add nuts into large mixing bowl and coat with oil. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Spread nuts in an even layer on large baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool completely & store in air-tight container — and enjoy!
