Maretta is 8 years old and has been fighting since the very beginning. Born at just 24 weeks with complications, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in 2018. Around her 2nd birthday, her family wasn’t sure she would survive.

Since then, Maretta has endured seizures, multiple hospital stays, two neurology surgeries, and a complete right hemispherectomy.

Today, she continues her journey with the help of the Complex Care Clinic at American Family Children's Hospital, where specialists work together to manage her many diagnoses and provide the care she needs.

Stories like Maretta’s are why donations matter. Your support helps children with complex medical needs receive life-changing care close to home. Donate now or become a #Champion4Kids here: www.magic98.com/american-family-childrens-hospital-radiothon-2026/

Today we got to meet Gloria 🩷

She was born a micro preemie at just 25 weeks. At 35 weeks old, she was diagnosed with Sturge-Weber Syndrome after showing symptoms including a port wine birthmark on her face.

She began experiencing up to 20 seizures a day before doctors performed a life-changing surgery to disconnect the left side of her brain to help control the seizures.

Today, Gloria is 5 years old and seizure free. She continues to work hard every day, undergoing 4 hours of physical therapy, 5 days a week.

Stories like Gloria’s are why support for the American Family Children's Hospital matters. Become a #Champion4Kids now by calling 877-719-KIDS!

Rylan was born with Chiari Malformation, a condition where part of the cerebellum pushes down onto the spine. His family didn’t discover the condition until he was 6 years old.

He underwent major surgery where doctors removed part of his skull to create more room and relieve the pressure. Just 10 days later, Rylan was already back at school showing the same strength and determination that carried him through it all.

Today, he’s thriving in 3rd grade and loves playing soccer!

Stories like Rylan’s are why donations to the American Family Children's Hospital matter. Become a Champion for kids just like Rylan now at www.magic98.com/american-family-childrens-hospital-radiothon-2026/
